Lower Kennebec River Half Day Trips Successful

With the summer vacation season in full swing, we are happy to add to the adventure opportunities for the guests of Northern Outdoors. Wednesday, Sam, Humza and Owen from CT were up rafting with their families and booked a half-day bass fishing trip with us to wrap up a great vacation. We enjoyed a fantastic morning on Wyman Lake with all of them catching multiple smallmouth bass. Two-fer smallmouth: Sam Sam started slow, but pulled off a two-fer later in the morning. As we landed one bass and started to get a photo, another bass hit his grub as he dangled it over the side of the boat...got to love the aggressive smallmouth bass. Owen finished with the most fish with Humza a close second. Thanks for a great day guys. Yesterday, Rob and Jane took a break from riding the ATV trails in The Forks area to get a half day of fishing in. Rob, a tournament angler from Mass, showed his skill by landing one of the biggest bass we've taken from the lower river. Jane kept up with her husband and landed at least a dozen bass herself including a respectable two pounder. At final count, the estimate Rob gave me was at least 30 fish landed. A pretty busy morning for a couple of hard riding folks. I'm looking forward to showing them our trophy lake next year. Good luck Rob on winning your club championship.
