The Bingham stretch of the Kennebec fished fairly well today, a bit slower than we like but we did manage to land this nice rainbow. Beautiful fish, tough to get in the boat but well worth the effort. Fishing is getting better everyday, more and more dry fly action.
Our annual corporate retreat went well again this year. All the gear has been taken out of winter storage and is ready, new lines, leaders, and tippet, the fly boxes are organized and filled, trailers refurbished, We even caught some fish, rainbows, brookies, browns and smallies. All on the fly, and all before May 1st....what a great start to the 2016 season! The schedule is booking up, but we do have lots of open dates, weekdays and weekends. Give us a call. Let's get fishing.
Looks like Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has opened up the season a little early this year. We couldn't get better news, enough of this "winter", let's get fishing......

We had a great time fishing on the Kennebec last weekend.(8/29/15) It was a beautiful day - not too hot, not too cold, and it was so relaxing drifting down the river and casting for bass. We were in two rafts - Mike and Garrett were our guides. We argued after the trip who had the better guide - both were very knowledgeable, patient, and fun. I was particularly grateful to Mike for the attention he gave my daughter - who wasn't all that sure about fishing! He made sure that she caught some fish, and helped her with how and where to cast to find fish. We shared a good laugh when a fish slipped out of her hands, right into her sweater pocket!! A great day on the Kennebec - we will definitely be back!!
